WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan — Police are looking for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman in broad daylight before snatching her jewelry near a Manhattan Park.

According to the NYPD, it was around 3:15 p.m. back on June 4 when the woman was approached by an unknown man as she walked by Highbridge Park, near Edgecombe Avenue and West 165th Street in Washington Heights.

Police said the man grabbed the 28-year-old woman around the neck and then forced her to perform a sexual act on him.

The attacker then grabbed the woman’s jewelry and fled on foot, authorities said.

EMS responded and took the woman to a nearby hospital for evaluation, according to police.

The NYPD has released the above police sketch of the man they’re looking for, describing him as between 20 and 30 years old.
