UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan — A body was found hanging from a tree in Central Park Sunday morning, police said.

Officials identified the individual as a 50-year-old man.

The body was located inside of the park near East 74th Street and Fifth Avenue, according to the New York Post.

Police told the Post the man’s death appeared to be a suicide.
