HARLEM — A man was shot in the leg outside of the Jefferson Houses in East Harlem, according to police.

Police responded to a 911 call about a person shot at 3:50 a.m.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a 20-year-old man outside the housing complex with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The victim has been taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Police are looking for three to four men who fled the scene after the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
