NORTH LAWRENCE, L.I. — Police on Long Island have arrested a man they say crept into a bedroom window of a brother and sister and groped the girl as she slept early Wednesday.

According to Nassau County police, Norbin Mayorga, 30, entered a North Lawrence home around 4:30 a.m. through an unlocked rear bedroom window as the siblings slept in their beds.

The man allegedly sat on the girl’s bed and forcibly touched her.

When the girl awoke, the man took out a serrated knife and told her he would kill her and her brother if she screamed, police said.

Authorities said the young victim did in fact scream, causing the suspect to head back out through the window and flee on foot.

After a thorough investigation, Mayorga was arrested at his home without incident, police said.

Mayorga is expected to faces charges including burglary, criminal possession of a weapon and forcible touching, officials said.

He’s scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Mineola.
