MINEOLA, N.Y. — The Nassau County Department of Health has issued an advisory against swimming at 19 beaches Sunday due to heavy rainfall.

The advisory was issued as a precautionary measure for beaches known to be impacted by storm runoff, which can elevate bacteria levels.
