High rise fire quickly brought under control in East Village

EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan — Firefighters quickly brought a hi-rise fire in the East Village under control this afternoon.

At 1 p.m. Sunday, a fire broke out on the 6th floor of the 21 story building located at 410 East 6 St., part of the Village View complex.

No injuries have been reported. Firefighters were seen aiding a three-year-old pit bull who was hurt in the fire.
