Woman struck and killed by truck in Brooklyn

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) — An on-duty U.S. Postal Service worker struck and killed a woman who was lying on Fulton Street early Tuesday morning, according to police.

The mail truck was heading east on Fulton just before 5 a.m. when the driver ran over the body of 52-year-old Bronx woman Dorria Campfield at the intersection with Rockaway Avenue.

The unidentified USPS worker, 66, stayed at the scene.

Campfield was rushed to Interfaith Medical Center by Emergency Medical Services and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A police investigation is ongoing.
