Suspect caught on bedroom surveillance video stealing cash, jewelry in Flatbush

FLATBUSH, Brooklyn — Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Brooklyn apartment.

According to police, the suspect broke into the home through a basement window Saturday evening in the area of Bedford Avenue and E. 24th Street in Flatbush.

The suspect is seen  using a flashlight to go through the drawers and cabinets in the bedroom.

Police say the suspect fled the scene with around $4,000 in cash, assorted jewelry including six Gucci watches, four Tag Heuer watches, two bracelets, two pairs of earrings and three wedding rings.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

People can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

All calls will remain anonymous.
