WILLIAMSBURG (PIX11) – Police are looking for a violent sicko who they say attacked a woman and tried to rape her inside of a Brooklyn building Wednesday night.

The 36-year-old woman was walking into an apartment complex on South 3 Street around 11:55 p.m. when a man walked in behind her and followed her up to the third floor.  The New York Daily News reports that the man seemed drunk, and told the woman “I’m not going to play games with you” before punching her in the face several times.

He then tore down her pants and tried to rape her, according to police, but fled when the woman’s teenage son heard his mother’s screams and confronted him.  Her son, who plays football at his high school, chased the man down the stairs and out of the building.

He’s described as a 25- to 35-year-old black male who weighs roughly 180 pounds; he was last seen wearing a blue jacket with “Lincoln St. Mary’s Council 112” in yellow lettering.
