NEW YORK — Lanes of both the Brooklyn Bridge and the FDR Drive, as well as lanes of the Manhattan Bridge are closed Saturday evening due to protests over the Minneapolis death of George Floyd.
All Brooklyn-bound lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan are closed and all northbound lanes of the FDR Drive at Catherine Slip in Manhattan are closed, the city announced Saturday. All westbound lanes on the upper level of the Manhattan Bridge at Canal Street in Manhattan were later closed.

Dozens of protesters were seen flooding the FDR Drive Saturday afternoon.
The city asks that people use alternate routes.
