BROOKLYN (PIX11) — A Brooklyn elementary school teacher was arrested Wednesday for allegedly molesting multiple students.

Omil Carrasquillo, 36, is accused of sexually abusing up to 5 female students at The Canton School PS 249  in Flatbush where he taught science. The students were all 10 to 11 years old.

Police sources say the incidents, which all took place on school property between late 2013 and now, were reported on September 19.

Carrasquillo has worked with the New York City Department of Education since 2006.

“These allegations are disturbing and we removed Mr. Carrasquillo immediately,” said DOE spokesman Harry Hartfield. “He is not near any students. We are investigating the matter and supporting this school community.”

Carrasquillo has been charged with multiple counts of sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
