SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn — A Brooklyn mother faces multiple charges, including murder, after her 2-year-old daughter drowned in the bathtub of their Sunset Park home.

On Tuesday, detectives questioned both parents before charging Pheng’s mother, 24-year-old Lin Li, with murder, manslaughter and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

Melody Pheng’s cause of death was drowning, the Medical Examiner’s office said Tuesday.

Pheng was found unconscious and unresponsive about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in her home on 47th Street, police said. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A 4-year-old boy was found inside the home and was also being examined for possible signs of abuse, officials said Monday.

Police had never been called to the home before, the department confirmed.
