CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — A 12-year-old boy was shot in Brooklyn on Sunday night.

The child was on Prospect Place near Ralph Avenue when he was shot once in the leg around 9 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

The boy was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Police do not yet have a description of the shooter.

Citywide, there were 11 shootings that injured 12 people on Saturday, police said. There were also six shootings that injured seven people on Friday.
