BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) – Four people were injured in a shooting in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The shooting happened at Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Park Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 3:40 p.m., according to the NYPD. Police officials said there’s a “strong possibility” the shooting was gang-related.
The shooter got out of a vehicle driving down Marcus Garvey Boulevard and opened fire at three men crossing the street, police said. The three men and a woman were shot.
The shooter then got back into the vehicle and drove away, according to police. Officers later spotted the suspect vehicle and pursued it to Myrtle Avenue, where the suspect vehicle crashed into two other vehicles, police said.
After the crash, four suspects got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, police said. Three of the four suspects were taken into custody for questioning. The fourth suspect remained at large.
Two of the men injured in the shooting were hospitalized in critical condition, police said. The woman was grazed in the shoulder and was treated at the scene, police said.
