Train derails in the Bronx

THE BRONX — A freight train derailed in the Bronx Sunday morning, an FDNY spokesperson said.

The derailment occurred at Oak Point Yard just before 10:40 a.m., an FDNY official said. Three freight train cars are on their side.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

It is not yet clear what cause the train to derail.
