PARKCHESTER, The Bronx— Three people were injured when a tractor-trailer overturned on a Bronx expressway Monday.
The vehicle overturned on the westbound side of the Cross Bronx Expressway at 177th Street around 12:15 p.m., police said.
According to the FDNY, two people have serious but non life-threatening injuries. Another person suffered a minor injury.
By 4 p.m., crews were in the process of moving the truck from the expressway. A fire official at the scene said once the truck is removed, they will assess the bridge for damage.
All lanes have been reopened, but drivers should expect extensive delays.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
