MORRISANIA, The Bronx — Police are searching for the driver who allegedly struck a teenager in the Bronx during the Wednesday evening rush hour.

The incident happened at the intersection of E. 165 Street and Union Avenue in the Morrisania section of the Bronx around 6:30 p.m.

Police say the car hit the 17-year-old and kept going. The suspect crashed the car shortly after and fled on foot.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in serious condition. He is expected to survive.

The suspect remains at large.

Sources say there may have been a second person in the car.

The source also tells PIX11 it’s a possibility that the car was stolen.
