BEDFORD PARK, Bronx – Police are investigating the disappearance of a woman last seen three months ago.

On Monday night, the NYPD stood outside 22 E. 198th St. where Mahfuza Rahman, 30, lived with her husband and daughter as part of their 24/7 surveillance since learning of her disappearance.

Rahman, a nurse at Bellevue Hospital, hasn’t been seen since December 8 when her husband said she had flown back to her native Bangladesh for a family emergency, the Daily News reports.

It wasn’t until last week when her co-workers became alarmed she didn’t return to work the day her husband said she would.

The mystery grows as Mohammad Chowdhury hasn’t been seen since before Christmas. Travel records show he and his daughter have left the country, according to the report.

He spoke to neighbors before leaving.

“The last time I saw this guy was in December,” a next door neighbor, who asked not to be identified said. “He also told my husband to watch the house. His wife I haven’t seen since December 5 or something like that.”

Part of the family’s front concrete patio was dug up in recent days by investigators, looking for any evidence in what they’re classifying as a missing person’s case.

No word if foul play was a factor in Rahman’s disappearance.
