HIGHBRIDGE, The Bronx — A 4-month-old infant was found dead in an apartment in the Bronx Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to a call of an unresponsive child in an apartment on Ogden Avenue in Highbridge.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Akira Williams unconscious and unresponsive.

She was taken to Lincoln Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police say there was no apparent trauma to the infant. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
