MORRISANIA, the Bronx — A fast-growing fire burned through two private homes in the Bronx early Monday morning, leaving two firefighters with minor injuries.

AIR 11 flew over the scene and captured dark plumes of smoke billowing from the houses, located near Boston Road and Cauldwell Avenue.

Officials say 15 people—13 adults and two children—were displaced as a result of the fire. The Red Cross is working with the families to provide temporary housing and emergency financial assistance.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
