Community members, NYPD gather in the Bronx on National Night Out


GRAND CONCOURSE, the Bronx — Police officers and neighbors fathered on the streets of the city Monday night in a summertime traditions to bring together the two groups.

National Night Out began in 1984 — it’s held on the first Tuesday of August. This year, conversations about the relationship between civilians and cops, as well as an uptick in violent crime, were front and center.
