Hector Sanchez, 21, was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old to death, police said.

FORDHAM HEIGHTS, The Bronx — Police arrested a 21-year-old man early Monday for stabbing a teenager to death, NYPD officials said.

Hector Sanchez allegedly repeatedly stabbed Esmerlyn Toribio in the chest on Sunday around 8:40 p.m., police said. The two had been arguing over the sale of a motorcycle when Sanchez pulled out a knife. Paramedics rushed Toribio to St. Barnabas Hospital, but he could not be saved.

Sanchez was arrested around 2 a.m. and charged with murder, police said. He is awaiting arraignment.
