THROGGS NECK, The Bronx — Bronx Reverend Peter Miqueli is being sued for $1 million after allegedly stealing church donations to spend on his home, drugs and a male prostitute.

According to the lawsuit obtained by News 12, Miqueli stole donations from St. Frances de Chantal’s Church since he started working there in 2012.

He allegedly also stole from St. Frances Cabrini Church on Roosevelt Island over a 10-year period, the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit accuses Miqueli of spending the stolen money on renovations at his New Jersey home, drugs and the services of a male prostitute.

Parishioners have come together to force Miqueli to step down. On their website, they have a lengthy list of grievances including not paying his employees correctly and on time, yelling at both children and adults in confession, and “always” being on vacation.

Parishioners have even attacked Miqueli’s reported boyfriend: ““Keith Crist is an extremely shady man … [he] has been seen at St. Frances … many times walking into the rectory with Fr. Miqueli and the bag of collection money (which is not sealed, locked, or secured in any way).”

They have even organized a petition on Change.org that calls for Cardinal Dolan to remove Miqueli. One user wrote “he is not a man of God.” The petition already has 245 signatures.
