UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, The Bronx — NYPD says officers discovered 500 glassine bags of alleged narcotics, believed to be heroin, under tree branches in University Woods Park.

Cops made the discovery at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the NYPD. They could not confirm “burner” phones and rice were also found with the drugs, though photos obtained by NYC Park Advocates at the scene suggest otherwise.

NYPD will test the drugs for heroin. The drugs have been handed over to the 52nd Precinct.
