MORRIS PARK, The Bronx — Three trick-or-treaters including a child were killed when an out-of-control car jumped the curb in the Bronx Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened on Morris Park Avenue near Radcliff Avenue in the Morris Park section of the borough just after 5 p.m. Officials say the car, driven by a 52-year-old man, bumped the rear of another car before crashing into six trick-or-treaters.
The car flew onto the sidewalk, pinning several of the pedestrians.
A 65-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 24-year-old man and 10-year-old girl were rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where they were pronounced dead.
Their identities have not been released pending family notification.
Officials say a 3-year-old girl was critically injured. A 21-year-old woman and 9-year-old girl were hospitalized.
The driver was also injured in the crash.
It’s unknown at this time what caused the driver to lose control of the car.
No charges have been filed at this time.
