NEWARK, N.J. — One person was killed in a shooting in Newark Thursday night, according to officials.
A spokesperson from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said their homicide task force is investigating a fatal shooting on the 200 block of Lehigh Avenue — which is near Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
Officials said one person was pronounced dead at the scene, and said the investigation is ongoing.
