A huge fire broke out Tuesday evening at a Greenpoint recycling plant. PIX11 cameras are streaming live video as firefighters work to put out the blaze, in which nobody has been injured.
One of the businesses on fire is the Rapid Processing plant, at 860 Humboldt Street.
Firefighters are using tower ladders and hoses to put down the blaze, at Greenpoint Avenue and Humboldt Street.
The fire reached a 4th alarm around 9 p.m. as the blaze continues to consume recycling materials, sending heavy smoke billowing into the air.
Firefighters on the scene are battling it with caution, as the stability of the walls and roof could be compromised now.
All recycling plant workers are accounted for, according to FDNY sources.
