Did a reality star just jump-start a social media revolution?

Everyone with a Twitter account knows the frustration of making a mistake in a tweet — and the angst caused in deciding whether to leave the mistake for the world to see or deleting it and re-posting a correct version.  The whole purpose of the social media platform is for up-to-the-second updates, which doesn’t leave a lot of time for proof-reading.

That’s why Kim Kardashian voiced a sentiment about a Twitter function we all wish would happen: an edit feature.

The E! star tweeted the suggestion to her 33.8 million followers Thursday. The best part? Twitter’s co-founder and interim CEO, Jack Dorsey, listened–and actually responded.

We seriously doubt Dorsey would have responded if one of us lowly civilians suggested a function that should have been available ages ago.

Looks like Kardashian, who is the 14th most followed person on Twitter, can add social media aficionado to her resume, which already includes some tech props thanks to her own million-dollar video game app “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.”

Kudos to Kim for caring about her grammar. Maybe the fashionista could consider Silicon Valley for her next venture.
