STATEN ISLAND (PIX11) – The clown was spotted near the Grasmere train station over the weekend. The mysterious clown hasn’t broken any rules that we know of, but some residents on Staten Island aren’t so comfortable with their newest neighbor.

Frankie Paterno can’t shake the image  of he saw on Saturday near the Grasmere train station on Staten Island. It was a clown holding balloons and just staring.

People on Staten Island are baffled by a mysterious clown thats recently been spotted in Grasmere, and also reportedly near the Richmond Valley train station. When residents see him or her they post pics so social media like Instagram.

Vic Dibitetto is a comedian used to taking videos.

He spotted the clown and started filming.

“It’s freaking people out in Staten Island,” said Dibitetto.

No one knows who the clown is or what his or her intentions are and that makes some people like Paterno all the more nervous.

The clown has reportedly kept silent and is not talking to anyone.

The NYPD said this doesn’t appear to be anything harmful.
