FLATIRON DISTRICT, Manhattan — The holiday season is all about spreading joy!

And in the Flatiron District they’re treating people to “freebies” to brighten their holiday.

And what better way to brighten people’s mood than a free dance class to one of the most popular holiday songs of all time!

Winter Wellness is underway with the help of Broadway Bodies and of course Mariah Carey.

This free dance class, which teaches a dance to Mariah’s “All I Want for Christmas is You,”is part of the Flatiron/23rd Street partnership’s “23 Days of Flatiron Cheer.”

Megan Garcia, the Director of Marketing and Outreach says it is way to connect the community.

“We wanted to bring some holiday cheer in December to residents and the workforce and take the ordinary to extraordinary.”

And with Alistair, the director of Broadway Bodies, nothing is ordinary. He says the dance is not about the steps but about feeling the emotion of the music.

“We don’t care if you make a mistake, we just want you to enjoy yourself, it’s the most important thing.”

There are 75 local businesses taking part in the “23 Days of Flatiron Cheer.”
