ATLANTA — A former Fulton County prosecutor said news of the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown will likely mean more troubles for her former boyfriend Nick Gordon, WGCL reports.

“I think that Nick Gordon was not formally charged with murder since Bobbi Kristina was still alive, but now that she has passed on, there is more than likely a charge coming soon for, if not murder, second degree murder which is an unintentional killing that resulted in death,” said Melanie Davis, a former Fulton County prosecutor.

Bobbi Kristina’s family alleges Gordon was abusive and stole $11,000 from the 22-year-old after she was in a coma.

“The initial reports were that prior to her being found in the bathtub that he knocked her tooth out and dragged her upstairs by her hair … so that would at least be aggravated assault and aggravated battery,” Davis adds.

Davis said it is highly likely Brown’s family will file a wrongful death lawsuit against Nick Gordon.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner said their office will perform an autopsy on Brown’s body. They said performing the autopsy will be challenging due to the time between when Brown was found in her Roswell home and her death.

The medical examiner said the autopsy will likely be helpful in determining what led to Brown unresponsiveness which later led to her death.
