ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. – A 23-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly threw an alligator through a Wendy’s drive-thru window.

Joshua James, 23, pulled up for his order at the drive-thru window, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission tells WPTV.

After the server handed James a drink and turned around, James then allegedly reached into the back of his truck and tossed the 3.5-foot alligator into the restaurant, the FWC said.

The incident happened in October, but James was arrested Monday by a US Marshal, WPTV reports.

James was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession and transportation of an alligator, and larceny.

James has admitted to picking the alligator up on a local road and bringing it to the Wendy’s, according to the FWC. The alligator was later released in a nearby canal.
