ATLANTA, Ga. – The Federal Bureau of Investigation is taking precautionary measures following a report that alleges a possible ISIS-related terror attack will hit U.S. soil and other cities throughout the world on Sunday.
OpParisIntel, a group within the hacktivist organization Anonymous, said they uncovered information that points to attacks aimed at Atlanta, Georgia, where a WWE Survivor Series event will be held at Phillips Arena. Paris, Italy and Lebanon were also included in the report.
All of this is said to occur on Sunday.
The FBI issued the following statement regarding the threat:
“The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe.”
Earlier this week, ISIS released new videos posing a threat on New York City and the White House. In similar fashion, none those threats have been deemed credible.
