Despite rumors of an escape, infamous drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman remains in prison, according to the Mexican Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Angel Osorio Chong.

Chong tweeted a photo Friday night of El Chapo sitting at a table in a large space, surrounded by what seems to be prison cells.

“Para los rumores, una imagen…” the tweet reads in Spanish. That translates to “For the rumors, an image…”

Rumors that El Chapo had escaped circulated earlier in the day due to a viral fictional article that created a social media storm.
