MANHATTAN — A CUNY math professor has fathered 22 children through sperm donation and is sharing his story about why — and how — he embarked on the journey to help women conceive.
Ari Nagel said he’s sired 22 children over the past 12 years with 18 women. It said it began as a way to help a lesbian couple start their family and grew from there.
Nagel said he has various degrees of relationships with his children. Sometimes he’s at the hospital with their mother, coaching her through the process; some he speaks to regularly while there are others he’s never met, either because they live in another part of the country or because they’ve just been born.
