Amazon is hiring 75,000 people in response to increased demand as the coronavirus outbreak continues.

On March 16, the company announced it was hiring 100,000 people. Those positions have all been filled.

“We know many people have been economically impacted as jobs in areas like hospitality, restaurants, and travel are lost or furloughed as part of this crisis and we welcome anyone out of work to join us at Amazon until things return to normal and their past employer is able to bring them back,” Amazon said in a statement.

The company had announced a $350 million investment to increase pay during the pandemic; Amazon now plans to invest more than $500 million for increased wages and safety efforts.
