Flatiron, NoMad restaurants expand seating to curbs, streets amid NYC reopening

FLATIRON DISTRICT, Manhattan — New York City’s “Open Restaurants” plan is paving the way for the city’s restaurants to begin outdoor dining as part of Phase 2 of reopening.

James Mettham, executive director of the Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership, told PIX11’s Marysol Castro about the program will have on the 230 restaurants in the Flatiron and NoMad districts.

Plus, how they’re making room in the area for new and expanded outside dining formats.
