NEW YORK — We often hear leaders like Gov. Andrew Cuomo talk about the importance of contact tracing in the fight against COVID-19. But many still don’t know exactly what it is or how it works.

Brian Castrucci, public health advocate and CEO of the de Beaumont Foundation, spoke with the PIX11 Morning News and broke down contact tracing and why it could be so helpful in our quest to end the pandemic.

Also, Castrucci explains how patient privacy concerns might give some people pause over contact tracing efforts.
