NEW YORK — Activist and founder of the FealGood Foundation, John Feal, has been fighting for 9/11 first responders. Now, he’s fighting a battle of his own after testing positive for COVID-19.

Feal speaks to the PIX11 Morning News about how he’s feeling and how first responders who were on the front lines of the Sept. 11 attacks have underlying health conditions and are concerned for their safety.

“We knew this was coming,” Feal said.

“We knew we’d lose some 9/11 first responders.”

Though he’s recovering from COVID-19, he’s still working to get supplies and equipment for members of the FDNY who are currently doing their jobs while combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

Feal suggests people to get involved, thank people doing their job, and do their part.
