MANHASSET, NY — They met in high school and fell in love; now they’re on the front lines fighting COVID-19 at the same Long Island hospital.
Andrew Tagliarino worksin the heart failure unit at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset and Lyndsey Bayon works in the cardiothoracic ICU.
They celebrated their 10th anniversary together at the hospital while on the job saving lives. They had dinner in the hospital cafeteria.
“Yes, we did smooch,” Tagliarino said. “We are battle buddies.”
The couple carpools to work together. They see each other on the job and they often have lunch together at the hospital.
“It helps to have someone who knows what you are going through, and can relate to you,” Bayon said.
They plan on getting married next year and having a destination wedding in Aruba once the pandemic is over.
