THE BRONX — An overturned cement truck is snarling traffic during the Tuesday morning commute in the Bronx, authorities said.
The crash happened about 5 a.m. Tuesday on the westbound Bruckner Expressway at 138 Street.
All lanes in the area are subject to closure as crews clean up the wreck, which sent wet cement spilling onto the roadway. A worker on the scene was spotted testing the cement, which looked like it was quickly hardening.
Drivers are warned that delays snake back to Castle Hill Avenue. As an alternate, commuters can take the Cross Bronx Expressway.
At least one person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, officials said. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
