BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A family of young entrepreneurs are helping to give families a little relief during the holiday season.

The mission of the Brooklyn based non-profit Expecting Relief is to “keep a smile in every family’s heart.”

Expecting Relief helps children in shelters or on the verge of becoming homeless by giving them basic needed essentials.

They offer several activities for families including sponsoring a first birthday party, arts and crafts day and family portraits.

Expecting Relief is collaborating with Jericho Road Inc on Dec. 20 for the annual Toys For Tots toy drive at Milk River on Atlantic Avenue.

The event kicks off at 1 p.m.
