EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A woman is claiming an East New York funeral home sent her a vile e-mail, describing in explicit detail having sex with her mother’s dead body.

Pamela Johnson told the New York Post said she hired the funeral home, Grace Funeral Chapels, after her mother Melina Shaw died in May.

In the complaint, filed in Brooklyn Supreme Court in September, Johnson said she received an anonymous e-mail for an alleged employee of the funeral home on May 6 saying, “Also we would like to thank you for allowing our directors to [expletive] the hell out of your loved one…Her [expletive] was nice and sweet…there is nothing like a dead piece [expletive]…”

Johnson said she was forced to go through with services from Grace Funeral Chapels as her mother’s wake was just days away.

Grace Funeral Chapels is located on N. Conduit Avenue in East New York.

When she called the funeral home, Johnson said they admitted the disturbing e-mail came from them and that they would be investigating. Johnson said she never heard back from them.

One of the funeral directors, Shawn King, called the email “disgusting” in an interview with the Post and said the  e-mails did not come from them. “Obviously someone hacked into our system. It didn’t come from anyone who works for me.”

Johnson is suing for intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, professional malpractice, negligent hiring and violation of “right of sepulcher” which is the right to choose and control the burial or cremation of a body. The suit is seeking $85,000 in damages.
