BROOKLYN HEIGHTS (PIX11) — Police are looking for a man who rappelled off the side of the Brooklyn Bridge Thursday morning, landing on the roof of an NYPD building then vanishing .

Cops are reviewing video that shows a man making several attempts to scale down the side of the bridge, once with a safety netting then another with a red hose.

The man then rappels off the side, landing on the roof of a NYPD repair shop, which is adjacent to the famed Grimaldi’s Pizzeria.

Gina Peluso, one of Grimaldi’s owners, joked that, had this happened during business hours, she would have thought “it might be someone trying to cut the line” of tourists outside the popular restaurant.

The NYPD surveyed the area with a helicopter and have brought in canine units to inspect a suspicious bag left on the bridge.
