MANHATTAN (PIX11) – Their cars are hard to miss, covered in marijuana-themed images 12 SUVs and vans have been cruising around the city purporting to sell candies laced with marijuana inside.

The trucks belonged to Weed World Candies, which started in Los Angeles in 2000 before spreading to Atlanta and now to New York.

Dro Man, as he’s called, is the point man for the operation. The Alabama native has a vernacular of his own. When asked what the candies are made of, he emphatically replies “with 100% love!”

In truth, the candies are made with hemp, as opposed to marijuana. The crucial difference is the component THC. All of it means those who eat the candies will not get high – just ‘pacified.’
