A group of students at Hunter College is in hot water after they posted a video to YouTube called “Abortion Battles.”  In the video, a group of predominately male students, appear to stuff balloons up their shirts and aim to pop the balloons, which they refer to as babies, with plastic utensils.

“It’s a bit unsettling to see a bunch of students putting balloons under their shirts and pretending they are babies,” said freshman Aaron Williams.

It is a lunchtime game the group of Hunter College students apparently made up spontaneously.  The goal is to pop the balloon under your opponent’s T-shirt first.

The video set off pro-life groups.

Hunter College students play “Abortion Battles,” trying to pop the balloon (or the baby) hidden under their shirts.

“You know, every survey ever done shows that young men support abortion. Why?  It is because they are closet feminists or because they see something in it for them,” said Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League.

But no matter what side of the abortion debate you’re on, Donohue says the game degrades women and the students who made it should be ashamed.

Bill Donohue of the Catholic League says that “people that are pro choice should be equally offended” by Abortion Battles.

“People that are pro choice should be equally offended. Quiet frankly this is about the degradation of women. These men are cheapening women, no matter what side they are on.

One female student appears in the video.  She is apparently refereeing the game.

Hunter College said they’re investigating the incident.
