NEW YORK (PIX11) — As the summer heats up in the city, New Yorkers seek ways to cool off.

Coquitos, sometimes referred to as Puerto Rican eggnogs, are a sure-fire way to not only chill anyone down but to transport them to the wintery Christmas days, as well.

Irma Cadiz, known as the “Coquito Lady,” joined New York Living to show how to prepare coquitos, as well as to talk about the history and culture behind them.
