NEW YORK (PIX11) — Urban Word, an organization that hosts the search for the National Youth Poet Laureate, is getting ready for its 6th annual Black Girl Magic Ball, which celebrates Black girls in the arts.
Shanelle Gabriel, executive director of Urban Word, talked about the event happening on Tuesday while Stephanie Pacheco, the 2023 NYC Youth Poet Laureate, did a poetry performance on New York Living.
