(PIX11) — Sports Illustrated is making history by featuring their first ever plus-size model in the 2015 swimsuit issue.

When the issue hits newsstands Feb. 9, model Ashley Graham will be “celebrating her curves in a sexy string bikini” for plus-sized swimwear retailer Swimsuits For All.

“We are entering the Curvy Girl Era and when all eyes are on the bikini babes of Sports Illustrated, it would be a great time to have the conversation about the rise of the curvy girl,” a spokeswoman for the magazine said in an email to PIX11.

“I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too. There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt,” Graham said of her sexy ad. “The world is ready for more curves in bikinis. “Swimsuits For All” helps women feel confident and sexy in swimsuits and I am so thrilled to be a part of the #CurvesinBikinis campaign!”

According to a press release, the Swimsuits For All brand has been around since 2005 and have “elevated the conversation around what it means to be confident and feel sexy in a swimsuit.”

“Tastes and body types change over time and curves have never been more ‘in’. There is no better way to celebrate and show off than by donning a bikini,” said CEO and president of Swimsuits For All, Moshe Laniado.
