Heat safety: Stories meant to help protect New York’s Very Own

Mariya Moseley is a Production Assistant at PIX11 News who produces video segments, writes digital articles and manages social media content.

She is passionate about African-American culture and social activism. Her recent experience includes working at PEOPLE and ESSENCE Magazine covering national news, entertainment, lifestyle and criminal justice issues. She has interviewed talent such as Toni Braxton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Jay-Z’s mother, Gloria Carter.

Her work has been published in Yahoo, MSN and The New York Post. She is a graduate of CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and North Carolina A&T State University.

The Pittsburgh, PA native currently resides in Brooklyn and enjoys photography, music and TV/film.
